Lanny Hanks
Lanny has 20+ years of law enforcement and investigative experience including time as a narcotics and violent crimes investigator and SWAT commander. He led operations relating to Title III wiretaps and has participated in over 300 high-risk entries. In addition to his local experience in the courtroom, he has testified in the federal court system, acted as an expert witness for state courts and has been selected by prosecutors to be a Grand Jury Investigator. During his tenure as a law enforcement officer, he attended many trainings that still benefit him today, including Homicide Investigators School, Counter Drug Investigations, Federal Case Development, Advanced Interview and Interrogation, Conspiracies Investigations – Advanced GPS Tracking, and DEA Narcotics Investigators Training.
He continues his training and is a certified Counter Terrorism Instructor, NRA certified pistol, rifle, and shotgun instructor, Nebraska CHP Instructor, Tactical Operations Instructor, certified Advanced Bodyguard Operative, a Private Security Detail Operative, and a certified Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) provider. Lanny is also a Chief Range Safety Officer, and competes regionally and nationally in 3 Gun and USPSA competitions and is sponsored by Red Hill Tactical and Black Rifle Coffee Company.
Stephanie Schafer-Todd
Stephanie began shooting in 2010 and has been instructing firearms courses as an NRA and Nebraska CHP Instructor for 5 years. Stephanie’s NRA Instructor Credentials include Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun Instructor, Certified RSO and Refuse to Be a Victim Instructor. She has received additional instructor training from the Sig Sauer Academy and A Girl and A Gun. Her favorite course to teach is the Women’s Beginner Handgun Course.
Stephanie is also a Facilitator for the WyoBraska Chapter of A Girl and A Gun Women’s Shooting League. Stephanie enjoys seeing women get involved in shooting sports and learning how to safely use a gun for self-defense. She enjoys traveling locally and nationally to shoot 3-gun and USPSA matches.
She also represents the DC Project as the Nebraska Director, a Regional Director and a member of the advisory board. The DC Project is a 501(c)(4) nonpartisan initiative rooted in Education, Preservation and Advocacy. Delegates from across the United States meet with legislators in Washington DC and in their state capitols each year to encourage an open dialogue about the values surrounding firearms, gun rights and the Second Amendment.
Brad Van Pelt
Brad is an Advanced Private Security Operator (PSD), Advanced Bodyguard Operative, Combat Shooting and Tactics (CSAT) Instructor, Advanced Tactical Shooter, and a Range Safety Officer. He is also a certified Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) provider and he participates regionally and nationally in 3 Gun and USPSA competitions.
He enjoys the challenges of teaching new shooters and honing the skills of advanced competitors alike. Brad's tactical shotgun skills are smooth and fast. His years of shooting sporting clays can definitely be seen in his lightning fast shots.
